About Us
HVPA was founded in 1984. Members of HVPA are licensed psychologists who work in various settings including nonprofit agencies, community mental health clinics, hospitals, rehabilitation centers, schools, college counseling centers, and private practice. Members live and work in various regions of the Mid-Hudson Valley, including the counties of Dutchess, Ulster, and Orange. All members maintain the high standards of professional and ethical practice as mandated by licensure through the New York State Board of Education and by principles of the American Psychological Association and/or the New York State Psychological Association.

We invite new members to become part of our community, and to join the ongoing social and professional growth opportunities available through the HVPA.

Membership
HVPA plays an important role in the development of licensed psychologists in the Mid-Hudson Valley. Membership benefits include listing in HVPA’s member directory, membership in the HVPA listserv, networking opportunities, continuing education workshops, and invitations to social events, among others. Student memberships are encouraged.

If you are interested in becoming a member, please contact Cecelia Leonardo, PhD at:  leonardo@hvi.net or (845) 255-1121.
